Jude Bellingham Functioned in a forward role down the right and also contributed with defensive duties. Showed flashes of quality and mishit an effort over. Replaced late on by Rogers, his rival, following a yellow card. 7/10

The winger Was presented with England’s best chance of the first half, his shot smartly stopped from the opposing goalkeeper. With a teammate staying deep, he had to stretch the play down the right side yet his deliveries from the touchline varied in quality. Taken off for the final quarter-hour. 6

The captain The difference-maker with his 77th and 78th finishes for his country. His first a trademark close-range tap-in while the second a superb headed goal after peeling away off his defender. Now 32, he’s only getting better and England stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Found it tough to get into the game out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity when set up from a teammate but Strakosha kept it out. Rashford made much more of an impact in his place. Five
