I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
